Chastity and orgasm denial discussion

Reading that question got me thinking. Personally, I believe chastity truly begins when I desire to be released from it. It reminds me of my time with S&M and being whipped or caned; the real essence started only when the pain exceeded what I could easily bear. I have to admit, a smile crosses my face when I read about men who find three days of lock up combined with orgasm denial to be unbearable. That scenario would have been completely me in my younger years, after having sex twice or thrice with my two partners and then still needing to masturbate before sleeping. What do you all think?
