After a few bumps last weekend, the rest of the week was wonderful. One takeaway is that having something penetrate the cage isn’t just unpleasant for him; it actually hurts. So I suppose we won’t be doing that a third time. A few days later, I discovered that sticking to my word turned into quite an incredible two-week buildup… culminating in his explosive release from the cage… entirely at my command. It was almost too hot even if I had been observing it remotely. We’ve engaged in more conversation than usual this week as we try to “find our footing” amidst everything… But so far, it’s pretty amazing.
