CB Range discussion

Does the CB6000 in chrome actually have a genuine metal coating? I’m always traveling for both business and leisure, which means lots of trips through airport security scanners. The clear model is said to pass without issue, but what about the chrome one? Is it real chrome or just colored?

Hearing from someone who has used it directly would be appreciated. P.S.: I realize I shouldn’t use a metal padlock right now; )
