I’ve been pondering how to bring male chastity into the mainstream… If you told most women that they could manage men’s sexual needs and curb their tendency to masturbate or cheat, I believe many would embrace it. The first thing they notice is the hardware… I think the appearance of these devices might immediately deter some women, unless they are already familiar with BDSM. When I first encountered chastity cages, I pictured hospital equipment, and my initial reaction was that they’d likely smell. Both aspects seem rather unappealing. I suspect most male chastity devices were designed by men who have an interest in BDSM. Perhaps we need a design from a woman’s perspective: the penis could be completely concealed with a flap for urination. The full metal belts appear too uncomfortable and impractical for daily life. There must be another option if people step outside conventional thinking and approach it differently…

Here we go, the future of male chastity! Now someone just needs to figure out the mechanics inside. Yes, that's exactly what my wife said. They all seemed too masculine, which surprised her given the usual goal is to have a female key holder!

Well, the first one looks like a jock strap. Hardly secure enough. As for a device that completely hides the penis with just a flap for peeing, well, that would still be ineffective and smelly. There are certain devices, like the custom Evotions model my guy wears, which don’t look quite so imposing to me. You can choose various nice colors, and he has no access to his penis, especially since I got him pierced. I know many locked men claim they’d never cheat a device, but we all know they indeed can pull out from the back, masturbate, and stick it back in while the key holder remains unaware. That’s why I like having him pierced...it prevents pulling out and unauthorized access plus the piercing feels good to me on those rare occasions when I let him out for traditional intercourse. As for smell, as long as the locked guy takes good care of his property owned by the keyholder, it isn’t an issue. My partner cleans very well with a q-tip and soap in the shower and rinses thoroughly too. Afterward, he uses the blow dryer on cool to dry everything, even using a q tip to move the skin folds of the penis to ensure complete drying. Then he coats another q tip with baby powder and works it into the areas covered by the cage to prevent trapped moisture, which is part of what causes odor. I have taken him out after a full day and his penis smelled fine, just that normal mustiness one gets from showering in the morning and working during the day. Oh, and after he pees, he dabs with toilet paper and uses a qtip to catch anything missed. Overall, a very good system. All in all, a device really doesn’t need to look female friendly; it is something wrapped around a penis anyway, and the penis is the mascot of masculinity, Lol!

P.S. I do agree that becoming mainstream would be awesome. A majority of women are vanilla so I can see where it might be hard for them to wrap their minds around something as intimidating as male chastity. I think it would be such a cool idea for us, the everyday vanilla folks here, to advocate to “regular” women about the benefits of male chastity. I know I am easy to talk to and passionate about my interests, so I’d be all for educating other vanilla women:-)

For a long time I have wished that male chastity was mainstream. But I don't think the look of the device makes much difference because keyholders can choose not to see it; as for the male, he still wears it. I think wags must be able to see the benefits of male chastity if used in their own relationships and they must be able to connect with the person telling them that it has changed their partner into a perfect boyfriend or husband. But I don't think that wags are unaware of how much men desire sex.

The look of the device does matter; the first thing the woman will say is "how does it work?", then she wants to see it. If she's put off straight away, that’s the end of it.

While that may be accurate, a truly open-minded woman would stick around to see what it is and how it works, etc. As a fellow woman, you know we are all naturally curious or nosy about things we don’t understand. I know that even if I were vanilla, due to my natural curiosity, I wouldn't immediately flee the scene but would ask questions instead to try and gain understanding.

Yes, but the point is to attract women who are not open-minded!:) Seeing usual devices they will just think "That's a BDSM thing to turn him on", then walk away.

Also, in my opinion, I think only a truly closed-minded, vanilla and prudish woman would stop dead in her tracks and flee. I really believe that most normal women want to know how it works and what it is for at the very least. The problem is that many men present it as a kink. Maybe if men were more gentle introduced it in a way that benefits their girl, then many more vanilla women would open up to the idea and take it from there.
