Does my Jailbird spin? More accurately, the ring itself turns, carrying the cage along. MM thought it might be the lock dragging it around, but I often unlock during the day while leaving the ring on. The spinning continues. It doesn’t hurt; it’s just a bit ugly looking. I had a new ring custom-made with an off-center pin because my original oval was slightly too small and tended to settle into one position. The offset pin is meant to keep things centered in that oval shape, though the rotation persists regardless. This holds true both with and without the padlock attached. Any advice would be appreciated.

For me, this is common with most of my cages, especially when sitting with legs somewhat closed. I think it's because the testicles bulge outward and need to find their spot, resulting in: cage rotation up to 40 degrees, one ball high and the other low. It also occurs with tight trousers (though at a lesser angle) as the cage drifts toward one side of the seam. My MM Jailbird has been modified to reduce this issue: it features a more anatomical ring shape (bent about 30 degrees in the center). I didn't design it specifically to stop rotation, but rather to accommodate a nylon locking post instead of metal for electrical isolation between the ring and cage (allowing them to serve as electrodes for e-stim).
