Full Belts discussion

Before I purchase a steel Florentine style belt, I want to hear what users think about choosing between rear chains or a continuous band. Hygiene makes me lean toward chains, but I worry they might create a noticeable VPL and make it easier for the belt to be defeated by a vibrator. The specific belt under consideration is the My-Steel Ergoslim Comfort with an ergonomic hip band; however, I would value opinions from all steel belt wearers as well as their Keyholders.

I really prefer the cable type because it is relatively easy to keep clean and leaves no visible sign on your rear profile. The Tollyboy drop front style gets a lot of praise; see the Steelpants blog for more details.

I highly recommend a rear cable thong. In my view, it is the most secure option and easiest to keep clean.

My Mistress keeps me in a MySteel Transformation Comfort with continuous crotch. If your Keyholder requires you to undergo anal training, the continuous crotch is necessary to lock the plug securely in place. The main downsides are cleaning after defecation and that penetration by a strap-on wielded by your mistress becomes impossible. An alternative might be the Locked-in-Steel model with cables, which offers an option for a locking rear shield.

We were leaning toward a continuous band because of the lockable plug, which my wife (and Mistress) could remove at any time for penetration. May I ask how large the hole in the band is? The anus opening is oval shaped: 4.5 cm (1 3/4 inches) wide by 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) long.

I have the continuous rear shield with an anal opening; I like it quite well and it allows for plug play very easily. I haven't had any issues with bathroom routines or hygiene.

I think the My Steel belt is excellent, so comfortable that I often forget it is being worn. Mine uses a rear stainless strap; it does not cause any problems with body functions as long as it is properly adjusted. It also gives your keyholder (if you have one) the option of fitting a locking plug. Whether this is an advantage or not is open to discussion!
