Are you new to being a Key Holder? Not sure what steps to take next? Wondering where to start your journey? I hope my foundational advice helps you discover YOUR path. The most important thing is that this becomes YOUR way. Find the approach that suits you best. If you try to be a Key Holder exactly how someone else expects, it will feel like labor. I’m not saying ignore what your caged man/sub/pet enjoys; you can certainly incorporate those preferences. What I mean is that you should begin with comfort. For my pet who lives here, I let him guide me and show me his likes. Still, I weave these elements in where it feels right for me. My live-in pet has daily chores he must finish. I also give him random assignments. If a chore or task is missed, there is punishment. When completed, he receives a reward. The same logic applies to my Virtual pup/pet. I select tasks that please me personally: house cleaning, laundry, cooking, massages, and so on. The first three might seem mundane, but they are things I dislike doing myself. So it brings me pleasure when someone else handles them. He also does the enjoyable tasks because, let’s be honest, those are just fun. As my profile says, I strive to be FIRM yet fair. Cruelty is not in my nature. Punishment isn’t done for amusement alone, nor do I make unreasonable demands of my pet. However, I adhere strictly to my rules. No matter how much affection I have for him, he follows the regulations. If he breaks them, punishment ensues. Naturally, I don’t always LIKE it, but why have rules if there are no consequences? That said, because I am generous with rewards, rule-breaking is rare. Because he enjoys the rewards I provide, he strives harder to please me and complete his duties. Health and safety come first. Always, I ensure my pet remains well in both mind and body. If health issues arise, we pause until he recovers. This should be your top priority. You play a vital role for your caged/sub/pet, just as they do for you. Without you, they are alone navigating their male chastity needs. Without them, you cannot fully embrace your Key Holder duty. Cherish and care for each other. Grooming and cleaning are part of this package. I ensure my pet stays well-groomed and keeps both himself and his device clean. He removes the cage once a week to tidy up and groom. During this period, he is not allowed to relieve himself manually, and I monitor him closely. This is mandatory. His metal cage allows free use of the restroom so he isn’t sitting in waste. Daily showering helps with hygiene as well, but I insist on that weekly deep clean as a precautionary measure. Better safe than sorry. He really appreciates this routine. Outside of these scheduled times, if his skin gets irritated or develops soreness, I allow him to take off the cage again. His health is paramount to me, and it should be for your caged/sub/pet too. Being a Key Holder isn’t hard work. It requires time and care from us. We must look after those we hold keys for. We also need to ensure they remain safe, healthy, clean, and fulfilled in their needs. But always on our terms. I nurture my live-in pet; he means the world to me. He makes me feel thoroughly appreciated, which pleases me greatly. I care deeply about my virtual aspiring pet as well. Though we haven’t met face-to-face, he trusts me completely. He believes I won’t assign tasks beyond his ability and that I will not harm him. These are serious matters for both of them. I hope this provides a solid starting point for your Key Holder role.
