For those who are aware, I previously owned a Neosteel Arch and struggled with the narrow band that links the tube to the hip belt. It used to dig into my crotch fat constantly. That curiosity led me to check out the updated Marvellous version of the Arch. This upgrade includes a gleaming front shield attached to the Arch’s tube, which essentially widens the connection between the tube and the hip band for me, lowering the likelihood of crotch fat wrapping around it.
I decided to go ahead and send my belt back to Neosteel for conversion. Along with that service, I swapped out my standard hip band for the new spaceless one in the same order, opting for a slightly tighter fit.
Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The upgraded spaceless band is significantly more comfortable than the old model, and these changes have made wearing the Arch much easier overall. Naturally, it required some bending and tweaking to get right. Now that I’ve worn it for several evenings, I can go 12 hours straight without issue and even managed a three-hour walk in it. It still needs minor adjustments as my body adapts, but it seems like I might have finally found a belt suitable for all-day wear after a decade of looking…and it looks fantastic too. The front shield is removable; if you take it off, the belt reverts to being a standard Arch (with just a pin on the tube where the shield attaches).
