I filed down the sharper corners around the hinge area and then sanded them with fine paper, which helped somewhat. Most people say that the solid rings in the cb2k line are much more comfortable since they lack a hinge. You can sometimes buy just the rings separately at certain retailers. I believe Kept for Her carries them.
