Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

So I head to work this morning fully locked up and determined to set a new personal best in ten days or so. Later, when I go into the men’s room for a sit-down pee, I look down as I stand up and one of my boys has escaped! I’ve never seen that happen before, and it’s been nearly a year since I started experimenting with chastity using four different cages. With a meeting starting in three minutes and no key nearby, I think to myself, “Well F’! Now what?” I give the cage a tug and consider trying to guide the AWOL soldier back into his barracks… but it’s not working. Suddenly my dick escapes too. A five-pound chastity cage is now dangling from just one ball! If only I had more time?! Or an emergency key?! I’m truly stuck. It wasn’t painful because of how funny the situation was, but in that moment of desperation, another firm tug and I broke free! I’ve been wearing a 45mm ring with all four of my experimental Chinese cages, but for this latest purchase, having learned from reading here, I bought a spare ring one size smaller at 40mm. Over the weekend I tried it on - after quite some effort got it secured - and then… took it right off again. When flaccid I can fit a fingertip under it, but I was terrified of edema (which sometimes happens overnight) and needing to call in the firefighter/paramedics to cut it loose, so I went back to the larger ring. Now I’m wondering…
