I possess a truly stunning French Maid Uniform from The French Maid Connection. This is an excellent, handcrafted piece that my wife spent $250 on. The fabric consists of thick black velvet accented with white lace edging. It features several layers of white lace crinoline, giving it plenty of volume and presence. As the photos show, the seams are strongly double-stitched and it has a high-quality zipper.

I stand 6 feet tall. When we purchased this item, I weighed 185 lbs with a chest measurement of 38 inches. There was some extra room then, but unfortunately, my weight is now up to 218 lbs with a 48-inch chest. I can still manage to pull it over my shoulders, though the zipper only reaches the center of my back.

I haven’t put this on in more than six years and sadly believe I won’t be able to wear it again. It has seen very light use for special events (never worn during actual cleaning duties) and shows almost no signs of aging. It remains as lovely as when we bought it, kept in a closet within our non-smoking house, and includes a white satin apron that looks brand new since I never used it.
