Mature Metal discussion

I plan to order a Jail Bird soon. I suspect anyone who has ordered one is in the same position as me now: measure once, measure twice, yet still unsure if it’s right or wrong. When flaccid, my width is about 1 1/8 inches, perhaps slightly more in one spot. This makes me wonder whether this will impact comfort at all. Has anyone else dealt with similar measurements? If so, what did you do?
