Site announcements and information discussion

Lately over the past few days when I sign in, a “New Messages” notification appears on my browser tab. I’m not sure how to open them up or where they are hiding. Is there something incorrect with what I am doing? I use Firefox along with Windows 10 if that matters for troubleshooting. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated…
