Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

The best option I’ve found within my price range is a 1-7/8 CB ring paired with a steel cage upgrade. I’ve tried (and sent back - thanks Amazon) about twelve Chinese-made devices that didn’t cut it. My goal is to find something suitable for wearing during the work week, keeping in mind I’m an electrician. I don’t worry too much about metal causing arcing issues with my equipment; what matters more is that I wear heavy Carhartt pants. My job involves climbing ladders while wearing a tool belt, navigating crawl spaces above and below houses, and dealing with homeowners. To add to the mix, I have four children aged 8 to 18. I need something discreet enough that neither my kids nor customers will notice it, yet durable enough not to hinder me during an active day.
