Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

My spouse and I are heading to Canada later next month alongside a few friends. She’s told me she’d like me kept locked during the journey. We’re planning to catch a hockey match, and one buddy wants to visit a strip club (which really delights her). I normally wear a metal cage, but I’ll need plastic for airport security screening. The Vice is mine already, yet its hinge gets quite uncomfortable if worn too long. Plus, the length isn’t ideal; as a “grower,” my size fluctuates enough that it causes chafing. If I can fix the hinge issue, I’m tempted to try the mini Vice cage for better growth accommodation, though it’s around $80. The CB6000s are also on my radar but set at $150 feels a bit high. Are there decent plastic alternatives that would work well since I’ll be in steel mostly and only need this for travel? Has anyone managed to resolve the hinge discomfort with The Vice?
