Our sixth child, a boy, arrived on Saturday. It was all smooth sailing. On Friday (the day prior to the delivery), my wife felt an intense urge to get the baby out. Her OB suggested she have intercourse—something about prostaglandins aiding cervical dilation. She was quite torn. She was nearly ready to let me take that final round with her just to kickstart labor when there was a knock at the door. It was USPS delivering the sizing rings we’d ordered from Mature Metal. My wife took it as the sign she needed to hold firm in her resolve: I would not penetrate her ever again. So, she had me lock back up. I can’t say I was thrilled. Not exactly mad or angry, but definitely let down. The birth itself went very well, just as I mentioned. No issues at all; both my wife and the baby are doing great. I found some time this morning to test the sizing rings and came away with measurements that felt spot on. I placed the order for the Queen’s Keep, which will be worn for life (barring reasonable exceptions like medical needs or TSA checks). To avoid a large padlock rattling around and bulging out of my trousers, I chose the security screw option because it offers a much more compact profile and cleaner look. It won’t come off often, so I’m hoping this makes daily life easier with it.
