Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

I’m aiming for continuous 24-hour wear with my MySteel belt. However, I’ve noticed that the area under the hipband gets sore (red patches, sometimes slightly swollen and itchy), and in one spot it even formed blisters. The irritation isn’t noticeable while wearing it; I only see the red areas once I remove the belt, at which point they start itching right away. It doesn’t seem to be an allergy since it occurs just in specific spots.

I never experienced this with my Neosteel belt (which lacks a rubber lining), so I suspect the rubber might be sticking to my skin? What lubricants or protective products do you all use under your belts to stop this happening? Vaseline? Baby powder?
