Hi there,

I wanted to share a bit of an update on my journey to find a long-term (fingers crossed) cage. I’m especially grateful for the suggestions and ideas that @Adam444 and others kindly offered in the Introduction thread linked above.

After reviewing and ‘investigating’ the options, I decided to purchase one from a local Danish sex shop. The model is this: - called the ‘Fetish Fantasy Extreme’.

Here are some of the reasons I chose this specific one:

1. It seemed like a solid starting point with plenty of room for modifications.
2. Being made of metal with smooth rings means no obvious sharp edges digging into my skin.
3. The base ring is 50mm, which suits me well.
4. Buying locally turned out to be more cost-effective due to savings on taxes and postage fees.

I knew I would need to do some modification before using it because I was certain the cage would press too hard against my scrotum—and indeed it did.

So, for the first stage, I cut off the final ring of the cage and smoothed out the edges. That single change made a big difference; I can definitely wear it for longer stretches now. However, more testing is needed before I call it perfect.

Secondly, I wanted to shorten the cage as much as possible because it still protrudes too much when I’m wearing jeans. For now, after some additional metalwork, I have shortened it by removing two rings, which brings me to my current setup.

The next step is figuring out how to solder a ring and tip back onto the cage. This means brushing up on my 20-year-old soldering skills because they aren’t quite fresh in my memory!

If I get that done, I’d like to see if the lock mechanism can be improved. That might help with size and also how secure and tight it fits on me.

Further progress... However, I am still struggling to find the correct spacing and length of the cage, as well as how to manage areas where it pinches my skin/forskin. It does start to look like something. I wish the base ring was 55 mm instead of 50. That would make it slightly easier to get my balls into place—it fits nicely in its current configuration too. I also wish that the two studs/pins keeping the cage against the base ring were a few millimeters longer. They seem to slide back and forth along with the cage, which causes pinching now and then. I will most likely remove them completely after the next fitting—I hope the cage will stay in place on its own as it is, but I am really unsure about this.. We'll see.:)
