Hello! We are looking for a cage that allows my partner to sleep comfortably, offering options with micro, small, and large cages along with 40mm, 50mm, and soon 45mm rings.
He handles wearing a large cage paired with a 50mm ring all day without issue. However, nighttime erections pull everything down, causing his testicles to bunch up at the base of an erection that the big cage doesn’t stop. It’s painful and keeps him awake.
We tested a smaller cage on the larger ring; it was acceptable, but when he gets hard, his balls turn purple very fast. We also tried the smaller ring: as soon as he attempted to get erect, he couldn’t really manage it (despite trying), yet his testicles changed color almost instantly.
Are purplish testicles a standard part of this process or a warning signal? I tolerate some discomfort well enough, but even minimal risk is unacceptable for me.
If he can fit a finger between the rings while they are on, he might be able to speak… @Robo
A purple hue signals that circulation isn't quite right. I face a similar issue with my 40mm ring; erections in this size can be risky for me. Once, I had to use the cold shower head just to slide the ring off—it wasn't pleasant. When wearing my cage, I find a 45mm ring ideal. It allows me to fall asleep without much trouble, but nighttime erections bring significant pain. This is why I am moving toward a higher-quality belt once I have determined exactly which features matter most to me. Even if a 45mm ring suits him best, he will still need to manage sleep difficulties, nocturnal erections, and chafing or rubbing around the testicles. These are common side effects of ball-traps that you learn to live with. A better-fitting device can minimize these issues, but in my experience, they never completely disappear.
