Difficulties with wearing a device? discussion

Currently testing a Chinese short metal cage to compare it with the Cherry Keeper, as I prepare for two future transitions: first getting a Rigid Beast Muzzle from pool boi, and then moving on to a Lori #16 fitted with an anti-pullout ring by Christmas.

The Chinese model is generally comfortable so far. However, the tip of my penis near the urethra opening is DEFINITELY NOT COMFORTABLE because it sticks out past the cage bars and rubs against my boxers. I’m wearing Duluth Trading Buck Naked boxers, which feel more like breathable nylon than cotton or other fabrics. What do people who wear this style of cage with a vertical tip opening do to reduce that rubbing and irritation?

I am currently away from home by several hundred miles. P is at home and has authorized me to use the sealed emergency key if I need to unlock. But I absolutely - refuse - to - self-unlock! For now, I have placed a Band-Aid over the front bars. It helps somewhat but isn’t perfect. Surely there must be a smarter way?

I went through the exact same issue and switched to a super-short cage where the bars meet at a central ring right at the tip. I actually preferred the one with vertical parallel bars because that slight protrusion aligned my urethra perfectly, allowing me to stand while peeing. However... it feels like a holder that says, "please pinch and sand the end of my dick." If you have that same design, try bending those two bars closer together for relief. I believe there are photos of both setups in my profile. Also, soft cotton underwear tends to work better than nylon. While I usually prefer Ex Officio briefs when traveling, the nylon material sands down my scrotum too, so just today I reminded myself of that fact after returning home with a fresh set of bright pink twins.
