I'd almost bet you that if you wear bike shorts for a ride and walk into a store for a sports drink, or go to yoga in functional attire, or hit the gym in traditional spandex gear, many people of both genders—including staff—will be checking out your oddly shaped bulge. They'll do it discreetly through mirrors and by looking up at your shorts to figure out what's going on there: whether they're sizing you up, avoiding a sexual harassment claim, or simply curious about your apparent medical condition.

LOL @ Thumper. From my own experience, the 6k is the most undetectable under everyday street clothes. The long taper of its nose creates a less abrupt bulge in your pants compared to something like the 2k. However, even the 3k—which is popular at the Edge of Vanilla lab—is quite acceptable unless I'm wearing tight jeans or a stretchy swimsuit. Yes, some full belts might make you look flatter, but they are expensive for what might just be in your head.
