When I use normal/vanilla sex, I mean standard intercourse—no frills and no chastity or kink involved. Conversely, kinky sex refers to activities that include some element of kink (anything beyond vanilla). Yes, many people who identify as vanilla—including my husband—see chastity as kinky. I’ve asked a few men and women in my circle if they’d ever get into chastity, and their eyebrows went up because they have standard sex and aren’t used to it. Still, it seems like plenty of folks don’t see chastity as kink, though that might just be a misunderstanding since I’m relatively new here and still learning the lingo. I’ve already drafted a book—a fantasy novel. At first, I tried blending fiction and erotica, but it didn’t quite work. So, I removed the erotica sections to complete the fiction with vanilla sex scenes. They weren’t as detailed, but they were vivid. I’ll return later to my erotic works because I love that being bisexual allows me to write erotica from both perspectives equally well. Plus, there isn’t much bisexuality in literature yet, so I need to contribute more. No, the book isn’t published yet; I will be once I find a publisher and editor who don’t break the bank.
