I have a question about the cage length.

My custom metal cage (Red Chili ZZ-Cage) is slightly too large for me, in my opinion. When flaccid, I measure around 4 inches, which matches the cage size perfectly. However, due to that fit, it feels quite heavy and bulky.

I understand there are generally two approaches:

• A cage sized exactly to your length.
• A smaller cage (with micro-cages being an extreme option) that might even stop growth.
• Or a compromise between the two.

Has anyone switched from a standard size down to a smaller one? What ratio do you consider optimal (half-size or more)? And how does urination work with a tighter fit?

I use a very compact cage and find it comfortable provided there is sufficient space between the ring and the cage body. However, you might encounter difficulties when trying to achieve an erection, and urination can be somewhat messy. Additionally, your glans might press against any openings at the end of the cage, leading to chafing. If you are happy with your current fit but want something smaller, I suggest not going too drastic; try a shorter model instead. Switching all the way to a micro-cage could be overwhelming.

Try an affordable alternative that is half an inch to an inch shorter than what you usually wear and see if it works for you. I needed to go down a full inch to achieve the right fit. Regarding urination, every cage I've owned seems to spray around somewhat when peeing. The easiest solution is simply sitting down.
