Novices and newbies discussion

Hello, I’m worried that my time in chastity might end before it truly begins, but I’ve discovered that removing the devices is quite simple—I don’t need to be under a showerhead or anything. A bit of lube did come in handy though.:( Naturally, I don’t want to take the device off only to find that staying locked is nearly impossible (unless perhaps a PA helps). I’d think it wouldn’t be so simple though? Being able to slip out and stay out would satisfy me, but sadly I can still get back in. I’ve been wearing a 45mm ring. It’s easy for my first knuckle to pass through the opening. My gear includes an HT v3 and a budget steel cage. Since dropping some pounds recently, perhaps my ring size has become too loose. I attempted switching to a 40mm ring on the Ht but couldn’t even fit a fingertip inside. Am I chasing perfection? Or would it be worth using a smaller ring with the metal cage? Thanks
