I’ve been struggling to build up my tolerance for wearing the PA-5k. There are two possible culprits:
- The device might be too wide for my glans, causing it to slide backward through the opening and press against my piercing. FIX: Get a smaller unit. Their sizing guide recommended I go with the largest size. I plan to test the ‘tighter is better’ approach by choosing the smallest option available. So far, the medium one has worked best for me, so there’s reason for optimism.
- My piercing sits quite forward on my shaft, shifting the pivot point ahead in the glans and creating tension that pulls on the penis itself. It’s tricky to describe clearly: because the attachment is too far forward, the head can’t protrude enough since it needs to sit further back to accommodate the locking pin. I hope that clarifies things. FIX: Take out the piercing, let it heal for a while, then put it back in again. Not fun. I’ll update this thread as soon as the replacement arrives to see if my experience improves! Getting this sorted is urgent before I commission a custom titanium piece from steelwerksextreme, which makes me quite restless.
Hello. I hope I can offer some assistance since the pa-5000 has worked well for me without any major complaints. I use the smallest 1-inch tube, and it sits comfortably just behind the glans, allowing the head to mushroom out nicely while keeping the shaft secure with minimal movement. The tube stays in constant contact with my penis, causing no discomfort or reaction from the plastic material. Unlike their suggestion, I didn't leave an eighth of an inch clearance, yet I have no issues maintaining hygiene. I'm unsure if your piercing is positioned too far forward; you might want to get it checked for proper alignment regardless. However, a tighter tube could help stabilize the penis and prevent sliding over the glans. Also, I don't use lubricant because once my positioning is right, I prefer not having things shift around easily. As mentioned before, mine has been in place for several years and has expanded to 6mm. I hope this information helps you; please feel free to ask if anything needs clarification.

Last night I used the dremel to grind down the front bars and slept peacefully with the device like an infant. I will share some photos once I get them.

I didn't purchase mine here, but I wanted to share this link: 50 euros is the lowest cost I've found for the unit. It seems my second PA5000, after undergoing some 'minor' adjustments, should now work well for me.
