I last wore my lock for roughly four days. When I removed it, there was quite a bit of dried skin and peeling that lasted nearly a week to heal up completely. I don’t use lube and manage to clean thoroughly using small squirt bottles along with long-handled Q-tip style washers.
Any suggestions on how to prevent this? I’d like to be able to wear it for even longer stretches.
**Baby oil?** Many members here report good results with baby oil. It usually offers enough lubrication to handle the friction.

Baby oil works great for me, but it can also serve as a breeding ground for smelly bacteria even if you wash regularly. My partner and I have found that the best approach for long-term wear is a brief, supervised removal of the cage every two or three nights, depending on your daily routine. Clean both yourself and the device, dry off, and put it back in. If you want, reapply baby oil. It only takes a few minutes alongside your normal showering habits, helps stop bacterial growth, and aids with that dead skin problem. Good Luck!
