Use plenty of lube and stretch. You can expect some discomfort at first until your body adjusts.

**Practice** Find a larger ring, such as a sturdy shower or curtain ring from the hardware store. It needs to have enough diameter that passing your testicles through it is easier than squeezing them past the long back of the birdlocked device. You can also use cable ties or even rope for practice; anything rigid and circular will give you the right sense. First, pull scrotum skin through the ring. Point one testicle toward the center hole and wrap the surrounding skin around it to aim correctly. Gently push the top of that testicle until it pops through. Slide this testicle to the side and hold it there. Then draw skin from the opposite side of the scrotum to guide the second testicle into position. Push again, and just like that, you're in place. Adjust the ring so your scrotum sits comfortably inside and centered. If possible, try doing this without lube first (though it can be messy and make slipping hard). However, when inserting yourself fully into the birdlocked, you will likely need lubricant because it grips the skin more tightly.

I own one (not the mini version, but a 45 mm model), and having two testicles didn't stop me from putting it on multiple times. Patience and perseverance are essential, along with keeping your penis soft! If you're new to cockrings, don't be surprised if it takes several attempts before you succeed. (You might also enjoy trying neoprene cock rings; they are very user-friendly.) As mentioned earlier: first draw some skin through the ring. Remember to rotate the cage downward as directed on the website, which makes this step much simpler. Then pull more skin (watch out for pinching—short nails help) and continue pulling until you reach your limit. Since the ring grips well, slide a finger between the skin and the ring while pulling, perhaps adding just one tiny drop of lube. Once you feel you've pulled as far as you can, apply steady pressure to push your testicle through. It might surprise you at first because it happens quickly, but it isn't painful. This may be sufficient for a initial session. Take a break while keeping one testicle in place so you get used to the sensation. Next, with that first testicle secured, pull even more skin and guide the second one through. It’s not effortless, but entirely manageable. Afterward, take another rest, let your mind wander, and most importantly ensure your penis remains soft if it hasn't been already. Inserting the penis into the ring is straightforward when flaccid: push it under the rim, pull gently to guide it further, add a drop of lube if needed, etc. Eventually, your penis will clear the other side. Pull as much skin through as possible so the ring sits high against your abdomen. If physical activity has made your erection firm (which is common), take another break. (It's also possible that 45 mm feels too small for you. If pressure keeps making your penis abnormally erect, perhaps try a 50 mm size instead.) To secure it, lift the cage upward by turning the ring itself rather than holding the cage body (to avoid tearing). A little extra lube makes this much easier. Once the cage is aligned above the penis, push the penis inside using lubricant. Avoid pinching any skin—it's quite simple when soft. After everything settles down, rinse off with water in case you applied too much lube. Finally, attach the strap and apply the key to close the lock for a secure finish.

The birdlocked device can be tricky due to its wide base ring. If you haven't placed a cockring over both testicles and the penis before, understanding how it works will challenge you significantly with this specific design. I suggest practicing first by layering multiple rings of identical size; this helps develop the correct feel. You must be capable of grasping your testicles in one hand, wrapping your thumb around them, and pulling about 1 inch away from your body. If you can't manage this, your scrotum is likely too tight and requires stretching. Additionally, you need to separate the two testicles by roughly the length of a single testicle. Warmth assists with this process; cold temperatures make it harder. If you meet these criteria, fitting both through a 45mm birdlocked should be fine unless your testicles exceed 40mm on their narrowest axis. My own measurements are about 2 inches long and roughly 1-4/16 inches wide. I can fit my entire penis plus both testicles through a ring with an inner diameter of 1-7/16 inches (36mm). This is borderline for strangulation when fully erect, but poses no problem while flaccid. Therefore, I only need about 5mm clearance over the smallest side of my testicle diameter. That's a very tight fit achieved through practice. In comparison, the birdlocked measures just over 1-12/16 inches across. Wearing it feels effortless for me now, but putting it on remains difficult because that damn collar is so wide. Practice and measure carefully. It’s possible the 45mm is indeed too small for you, though those are certainly impressive testicles.

Why not consider a 50 mm mini? Or perhaps the full-sized BON4? You still have some choices available.

The BON4 is a rival product with similar features. The box includes various ring sizes and appears much easier to apply. However, its cage dimensions are slightly larger than a standard Birdlocked, which could make it too spacious for you. Check out this thread for further details, including the website link and an excellent video comparison:
