Hello there. I’m fairly new to the world of chastity, but I picked up a BON 4 and it’s really quite good. That said, I’m stuck on which ring size fits best. The medium one slips off too easily even when locked, while the small feels maybe a touch tight—or perhaps my past bad experiences with cock rings have made me overly cautious. For anyone who doesn’t know right away: the diameters are roughly 41mm (small) and 47mm (medium), which translates to about 127mm and 145mm around the circumference. I’ve measured at the base of my genitals several times, getting consistent results between 130 and 135mm.

Unfortunately, BON 4 doesn’t offer much in the way of clear guidance beyond simply picking your size. What is the smallest ring I can wear comfortably without causing harm? I want to ensure it’s suitable. Thanks! P.S. I did use the search function, though I’m not great at it; there were just too many results.

That’s a measurement I can’t find anywhere despite all my research! Thanks for sharing yours. When I measure at the base, I have to pull the measuring tape very tight to reach 145mm. I’m wondering if the larger ring is noticeably bigger or not. Is there enough elasticity in the ring during installation that it expands significantly beyond that measurement, or is it just the plastic strap keeping it locked into place? You mentioned the medium ring was easy to remove while wearing it; but did you find it easy to put back on without dismantling everything? As long as you can’t take it off easily once it’s secured, you should be okay—that proves its retention capability.

The BON4 site lists the sizes, but yes, they are a bit tricky to locate. This puts the circumference at roughly 160mm. I think companies often overlook that linear growth by diameter isn't quite right for most men's anatomy; it doesn't need to be exponentially larger to work well enough—shrug. No, the ring itself doesn’t stretch as you suggested due to the band structure. The silicon is strong and resists stretching to accommodate swelling from blood flow or erections anyway. I started out testing just the rings to see how they fit. I think putting it on was fairly straightforward. It would require some effort and lubrication, but nothing difficult. Safety is my main concern here, as I noted; having had a near miss before, I’m playing it safe this time around, though risks always exist.

With some encouragement from my mistress, I’ve stuck with the small ring and so far it’s been fine. There is slight discomfort when tugging during an erection. However, I have a more pertinent question: does getting cold balls indicate potential issues? I might start another thread to get quick feedback on that.

Interesting... I just measured my current locking cock cage and found it most comfortable at the setting closest to 160mm, which corresponds to the largest Bon4 ring. Of course, mine uses a leather strap, so maybe fitting into a smaller ring would be easier now that we can use lubrication (unlike our current setup where we have to rely on a stocking for insertion). So if the ring doesn't stretch at all, what is the purpose of the strap holding everything together? I understand it secures the front part of the cage. I had assumed the ring itself offered some flexibility during installation, with the plastic strap then preventing further expansion to stop removal. It just seems like any ring you can slide on could also be slid off. I’ve been curious about the Bon4 since my GF expressed a desire for a silicone device that offers better comfort.

I believe they chose silicon primarily because it helps ensure detection-free passage through airport security and provides comfort. It has some give, but I don’t think any flexibility in the base ring size is necessarily beneficial since it could allow for device removal. The BON 4 does run a bit bulky and features a wide (or deep) base ring. I think part of what secures it is the cage itself; its dimensions and nature prevent the testes from shifting or being pulled through, ideally. Though this isn't guaranteed in every case, as practice with any device shows. I am eager to try the Birdlocked personally to compare comfort and security levels. While they have been associated with some questionable business practices, I would still likely choose their product. Regarding size again: ideally, you should be able to wear the ring comfortably, even sliding it on with lube, without needing much stretch at all. I tried both medium and small rings without forcing my way in by stretching them. Yes, it does limit expansion somewhat, but that isn't its primary objective function.
