Mature Metal discussion

I recently received my new Jailbird piece from Mature Metal. After a few adjustments for resizing because I measured incorrectly, it is working nicely now. I need to assess whether the gap holds up since all other dimensions are correct too.. Tube length: 1.5 inches.. Tube diameter: 1.5 inches and gap: 1/4 inch.. The back ring was an oval measuring 1-7/8 inches. I chose this gap because it is very similar to my CB6000s, though I will have to observe its performance since the Jailbird fits much more snugly..

The quality and service are top-notch and comfortable; I’ll share updates after a few days or weeks..

I don’t yet have a local keyholder, so for now I engage in online play with long-distance keholders or participate in the timelock program.. To add some fun to the mix, I asked Mature Metal to punch an extra hole behind the primary lock opening. This allows me to attach a numbered Key tag as well, which eliminates the “second hidden” key worry:).. It adds more accountability and fun.. two locks in total..
