I’ve been part of the Seattle sex positive community off and on for over a decade. A few years back I started exploring dominance and female lead relationships. There seemed to be an expectation that chastity would automatically be something I’d be interested in, but I never quite got it until recently speaking to a long-time friend who finds tease and denial a basic foundation of his sexuality. I have never locked someone in chastity, but have been offered the possibility by people I didn’t know very well. Having flirted with the idea of playing with a currently unavailable friend, I am realizing the difference in significance for me: I’m not sure I can view chastity as pick-up play or a favor I’m doing for a near stranger. I’d have to be emotionally invested in the person I was denying or else I’d be easily distracted away from their predicament from anything that have more significance to me — there wouldn’t even be an internal struggle for me there. A nearly decade-long belated thank you. I knew that I’d created an account here, but didn’t realize I’d done it so long ago.
