Hello everyone, I want to open a discussion about the creature comforts or habits that help make wearing the Birdlocked device safe, comfortable, and realistic. To begin, I officially wore a Curve model before this; while it allowed more airflow than the Birdlocked, I found it bulky, painful during erections, and its ring constantly moved up and down my shaft. Currently, the Birdlocked is ten times more comfortable—I can sleep without waking in pain from erections, and most people wouldn’t notice it under almost any pants or shorts. However, after a few days of wear, I noticed moisture accumulating right where the ridge of the ‘head’ section meets the shaft. When I took it off to clean it, the skin was quite red with a rash.
To prevent this in the future, I used a small utility knife to cut four tiny holes in that general area so the moisture could escape. [[Image: DSCN0134.JPG]](the referenced community page) [[Image: DSCN0133.JPG]](the referenced community page)
Also, what kind of lubricant do most people use and how does it work out? Thanks everyone!
I just picked up a Birdlocked Mini after using the CB3000 for some time, and for the first time, I feel genuinely locked in. The fit is really good—perhaps even too good. My Goddess (wife) thinks the softer device seems less intimidating to her. I have the 40mm version and tried pulling out, but somehow my body makeup hasn't allowed it yet. Sleeping and daily work are much more comfortable now, and cleaning is easier too. So I agree with you on the comfort and security of this gadget; thanks for suggesting extra holes—I'll keep an eye on that and see how it goes. I've been locked for seven days so far without any issues.
Definitely more comfortable than any others I have tried. I would caution you against cutting a slit with a knife because it can keep tearing. You need to make round holes instead. The best method is using a leather punch (the rotary kind), which is available at Tandy Leather or local craft stores. The round holes won't tear and ruin your belt
Thanks for the heads-up sissymissyct. I did make the holes rounded but didn't even consider using a punch; it would have made much cleaner openings. I'm traveling out of town next week to Virginia so I'll be locked up, and I hope the mods help with any moisture issues!
A few comments. I am sure a Mistress would find it less intimidating because my package looks pretty natural while caged—just slightly more compact. So the appearance is very natural. Regarding cleaning, I bought a large 50 ml syringe (without a needle) and use it to "jet" water into the holes. I do this twice daily, morning and evening, to stay clean. Sometimes I use a soap solution followed by rinsing. I try not to use any lube at all, or if I must, I wash it out immediately as noted above. I have used sweet almond oil, which is common for keeping skin supple and moisturized. It can be hard to get the head of the penis into the tube without a bit of lube; I succeeded with water once, but on subsequent attempts, I had to use lube. Lastly, you should all know that the Birdlocked isn't 100% secure. It can be defeated if someone really wants to. Let me know if you want me to share how. Your Mistress needs to approve this info. I agree it is very comfortable and discreet. Regards
