I’m writing this to share my experience with Lori. For years I’d been eyeing one of her devices and finally went ahead and ordered a 2C model. The four-month wait time caught me off guard slightly, though it was supposed to be ending any moment now—I had already sat through those full four months… When I asked about the delay, I learned that the waiting period for this particular device had stretched out to 30 weeks (about 7.5 months). No reason was offered at first.

After I voiced my frustration, they mentioned I could swap in for a 2A model which would be ready in three weeks, or stick with the wait for my chosen 2C. My keyholder has been waiting alongside me and she said it makes no sense—and honestly, she’s right.

When I pressed further on why this was happening, I was told that the woman crafting the 2Cs is a perfectionist who produces flawless jewelry-like pieces. However, since I’ve seen other people complain about fit problems, calling them “flawless” seems like an exaggeration if not outright obsession. Still, I wanted the 2C.

I also asked whether the 2A offered just as much security and didn’t get a clear answer. For whatever reason, the 2A costs half of what the 2C does. None of this logic was adding up; it felt like I could buy a new car in less time than waiting for my device. Then came news that they’d keep their “factory” open an extra shift to speed things along. Wait, didn’t she say the factory consisted mainly of one girl who works at her own pace?

Unfortunately, over the past few years I’ve gotten acquainted with folks running questionable businesses where excuses are half-baked and delays are part of the routine. My confidence in Lori’s company started slipping; while I wasn’t sure if she was a con artist, she certainly acted like one.

Her response? She didn’t feel obligated to give me a refund but offered it anyway. She seemed annoyed by my comments about her and wished me “ill will and sorrow,” ending that strange email with “blessed be.” I guess she sees herself as having some kind of magical authority.

So, Lori: thank you for the hex/curse, the rude attitude, the four-month wait without delivery or proper notice when your delay doubled. Thanks a lot! Or rather… thanks for nothing!

I’ve been reading through your post since you first made it and waiting to see if anyone else chimed in. I find myself in the same boat as you. I ordered a Lori’s tube back in March this year and had to endure those very same delays. I reached out to Lori multiple times, and she always responded within 24 hours with an explanation. Still, I couldn’t help wondering if I’d fallen for an internet scam. After doing some careful digging into her products though, I found nothing to suggest I was being ripped off. So I just held steady and waited.... Well, seven months after placing my order...I finally received the email from Lori confirming that my item has shipped! It took much longer than the original 12-week estimate, but it arrives in two days now. This might be the longest wait for anything I’ve ever bought—even longer than waiting for my house to finish being built. I’ll write a full review soon, but this post is here just to assure you that Lori’s isn’t a scam. I had my doubts for a little while, but my online research convinced me that it's a legitimate business. At that point, patience was all I needed. (This message has been updated because I initially got the purchase date wrong.) I actually bought mine on March 5th, not in May like I first wrote. I had to check my receipt to correct this.
