Apologies to everyone if this is in the wrong section, but I needed to share this… As you might have seen from my profile, I’ve been experimenting with self-locking for a while now. Usually, that just meant staying locked overnight and removing it before work or other activities.

Today was the first time I gathered enough courage to go out with the device on, running errands and shopping. I’ve now been in lock for over 24 hours. I know this isn’t an easy achievement, but for me it felt like a big step forward, and I’m comfortable knowing I’ll do it again tomorrow. Although there is no keyholder enforcing my wear, I plan to push myself toward a full week or even longer on my own.

I would love to find someone to hold my keys so I can’t simply take the device off before leaving home. Since I am now completely comfortable with moving towards long-term chastity, I aim to prepare well for what I hope will eventually happen: handing over my key to a Mistress willing to accept them.

Well done! It's great that you are taking things slowly at the start. Too many people buy a device and slap it on without hesitation. This is like learning a new skill. Yes, some may tell you how easy it is, but listen to those who ventured in slowly and wisely; they are the true examples.

I finally did it! I didn't follow my usual routine of removing the device before heading off to work today. I considered taking my key with me just in case, but instead I took out the metal lock and swapped it for one of those plastic numbered locks because I was still a bit hesitant about the bulkiness of the padlock. Everything went smoothly and has certainly helped me overcome some doubts and nervousness. I have now been locked continuously for 48+ hours, which is my best so far. It will stay on until at least Sunday, when I'll remove it to clean, inspect, and shave before playing ice hockey. That makes a full week for me, easily the longest yet. Since I don't have games the following Sunday, I plan to push for two weeks in this next lock up period starting right after my game this week. Once my hockey season ends and I know there are no weak excuses left to remove my device, I will keep pushing myself further. I also intend to actively connect with and get involved in my local BDSM community, hopefully finding someone willing to take control of my keys and test my limits with an enforced long lock up.
