Introductions discussion

Hi there, I’m a newcomer and wondering if I’ll find my place here. A quick browse suggests you’re all quite welcoming, which is lovely. One thought occurred to me—has anyone brought this up before? For forums that display the date, time, and username alongside the thread title or at the top of each post, could we also see members’ locations (if they choose)? The UK is where I am. To me, the US feels vast and distant. While most threads interest everyone no matter where you are, some—especially those focused on connecting people locally—might benefit from knowing which region a poster belongs to. It would be great if we could filter by location. I suppose this might seem like a technical tweak. Some folks prefer their whereabouts kept private; I’m partly in that camp too—but I don’t mind sharing the UK since it’s broad enough to remain anonymous. Just throwing an idea out there. The site is really pleasant, and good to meet you all.
