Birdlocked discussion

I’ve had a birdlocked on for about two weeks and it was working well until recently. I bent over while naked, causing the whole device to pop off. Checking it revealed that the retaining strap has stretched out enough to lose its proper hold. I attempted using the second hole, but found it too snug. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Did you find a workaround without having to purchase new straps every few weeks?

Hello! You might want to swap the strap for a thin strip of leather. I'm not sure where to source the materials, but if you take a piece of leather and cut it to match the original strap's size, then use a leather punch to make holes in the right spots, you should end up with a sturdier fix. It isn't the simplest method, but it beats trying to do the same thing to aluminum:)

Late to the party... but you can use large cable-ties that have a hole punched for the lock.
