I am seriously considering buying an MM chastity device, likely the Jailbird. Right now I own a CB6000S, but since I’m a “grower,” my glans tends to flop around inside it when I’m fully relaxed, making a custom piece seem like the better option. I face the same challenge. My approach is to wait until I'm relaxed before attaching the base ring. The MM JB's solid construction makes it slightly harder to put on compared to CB-style rings with hinges. If arousal strikes during this process, I simply take a short break. Usually, I apply some lotion and then engage in low-key activities like making the bed or doing laundry. Before you know it, relaxation sets in enough for me to slide the cage into place. Essentially, "sneak up on the little bastard".

You might want to give the stocking method a shot. I've discovered that if I slide the Jailbird's cage over my glans and apply steady but gentle pressure to guide it back toward the locking post, it eventually seats itself. Perhaps this helps push blood out of the tissue or something similar; even with a swollen head completely filling the cage, within 30-60 seconds I can usually secure the lock.

I always end up in the shower after Miss C allows me to cum. By the time I step out, everything is limp and often a bit shrunken from the cold air.

Proceeding slowly is key, particularly if you are uncut. Just take your time and picture yourself playing baseball.
