I’ve been battling with my Birdlocked Classic for quite some time. I might have stumbled upon a fix. Naturally, I’ll keep testing it and will post updates here as things progress. But I wanted to share what I’ve discovered. Because of how the Birdlocked unit operates, you can easily end up with a very noticeable, odd-shaped lump in your trousers that is hard to miss. (Feel free to say nobody stares at men’s crotches, or argue that bulges are standard issue, or claim it’s all in our heads—I’ll either brush off those comments or call them absurd. I know what I see.) My initial try was playing around with ways to secure the device tighter. Ideally, I’d rather not go down this route. However, if you bind it too tightly, considering how it separates your testicles, they end up squeezed between your legs, making walking a chore. More testing might be needed on that front. My next try involved grabbing some boxer briefs. I chose Rico’s ones like these: This didn’t work out. There are two main issues. First, there isn’t enough squeeze in the section holding your package. Second, and this is the real showstopper, shifting from sitting to standing can cause the tip of the BL to slide upward. It gets caught against a part of the briefs that sits too high for where you want the tip to rest. When you stand up, it ends up pointing straight out like a little rocket. Total disaster. (Maybe another brand would do better?) My third try has been really promising so far: switching to PANTS THAT ACTUALLY FIT. Several of my trousers were too loose—including the Abercrombie Khakis I wear most often right now. The pants themselves offered zero compression. Once I put on a pair that fit well, it was like magic occurred. Suddenly, just wearing LOOSE, COMFY BOXERS, the issue almost disappeared completely. There might be a TINY bit more lumpiness, but hardly anyone would notice or care. So far, this has been my first major breakthrough. Gentlemen, make sure your pants fit correctly and see how you get on! By making that simple change, I’ve gone from wearing a device that is BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS under clothes to one that is nearly invisible. Of course, I want to keep improving it, but for now, I’m very satisfied. Any more advice would be welcome here. Especially regarding underwear brands that work well. The Rico’s were a total miss.
Hello! I’ve read through this thread several times and have been pondering how to reply! Since I’m on my feet and around people all day, looking 'unnoticeable' is quite important to me. I wear Bonds underwear (a well-known brand here in Australia; not sure if they’re available where you are.) Here are the ones I use: 9342830293667_1_1.jpg Their name is 'Guyfront Trunk' ( Now.... I think these look a lot like your Rico’s, but I can only speak to their 'performance' from my own perspective. I find they work wonderfully for me. Granted—our anatomy might differ slightly, so that's worth considering—but once I settle myself into the undies, I usually stay put! I point my Birdlocked downward and it holds firm in place. The only time I really need to readjust is after using the toilet, since everything needs repositioning anyway! I grab the whole Birdlocked setup and slide straight down inside these underpants. My balls generally rest against the top of my thighs without discomfort—meaning I’m not agonizingly squished between my legs! I feel no pain during the day except for the occasional time my foreskin pokes out through the slot at the end of the BL (remember, the PA model has a larger slot than the Classic). That’s usually just like a mild chafe anyway—nothing major to complain about and a gentle reminder of why this choice is so great!!!! Also—I tend to wear track pants, which are often a bit roomy in the front. Are they 'well-fitting' pants? Well, I’m not entirely sure. I wouldn’t say the track pants add much extra compression. In the past, I’ve worn shorts underneath them for more squeeze, but now I skip that because the Bonds undies hold everything securely enough on their own. Tight trousers are a completely different matter.... With a BL, very tight pants can be tricky ('scuse the pun!) to manage. If the crotch rise is short, the point of the BL becomes visible easily. I’ve found you have to lay the whole package off to one side (usually my left) when wearing tight trousers. This reduces the pointed look but highlights the bulge more! So.... To conclude, I agree with IWTL that well-fitting pants help a lot. Tight trousers are definitely tricky. But I must add that the Bonds undies I have do an excellent job of keeping everything in position too! I REALLY hope you find a good answer to your issue buddy! I certainly wouldn’t want to be tying things down!!!! And even though this might not directly solve your specific problem, I hope my viewpoint offers some 'hope' that bulgability with the BL can definitely be managed!!!! J
Thanks for the input!
