I have a few queries regarding the cage length measurement guidelines for my jail bird.

1. Regarding your measurement, after subtracting that quarter inch, did you round down or up? My reading is coming in at two and five-eighths inches. Should I go with rounding down to two and one-quarter?
2. MM advises measuring while flaccid but not shriveled. I’m a bit unsure about telling them apart. The only time I feel really shriveled seems to be when I’m in cold water. Can I safely say my smallest size is effectively my flaccid size, unless I’ve just gone swimming or taken a chilly shower?
3. I’d love to hear from those with lower-hanging scrotums. How did you approach the measurement? I usually measure starting right where the skin of my scrotum connects to the penis, rather than pushing back past the cavities into the sac. Any answers would be much appreciated!

1) Generally speaking, rounding down is preferable to rounding up. 2) Flaccid refers to your penis's 'standard' size while you're relaxed and inactive, not overly aroused. When my JailBird arrived, my initial thought was that it wasn't long enough because I expected it to match my measurements exactly. I actually emailed MM to verify. The response confirmed that the cage length is calculated by drawing a curved line along the center of the cage from the tip down to where your penis meets the body wall; this distance is their standard measurement (I hope I've described that correctly, and MM will correct me if not). This specific measurement, combined with gap size and ring metal diameter, determines the actual fit. So what you're doing—measuring the true length using the scrotum/shaft junction as a baseline—is a solid approximation. You could also use the top of the shaft/body wall instead. As someone who 'grows', my second finger served well as a ruler. Over several days under different conditions, I simply rested the tip on the junction between the shaft and scrotum without pressing inward, just lightly touching it, then laid my shaft along my finger to see where the end fell. After testing this way, I used a standard ruler to confirm the length was two and one-quarter inches, with no deduction needed. The result is an excellent fit unless I'm extremely cold; in that case, my shaft touches the inner end of the cage, but the diameter remains comfortably snug—it effectively prevents erections from developing, so there's no pulling sensation on the balls!

Your device ought to fit your normal flaccid penis perfectly. When measuring for length, you shouldn't worry about accounting for the gap or the base ring; it's simply the length of a typical flaccid penis.
