I enjoy running and cycling. The Jail Bird I’m wearing now is too narrow at the bottom and broad across, causing the base ring to slide down over my scrotum. I’ve found that securing a shoelace around my waist and connecting it to the peg via the locking screw makes for much greater comfort, though the device protrudes more noticeably. MM advised me that I require a tighter base ring to stop it from slipping, but I’m concerned about whether this will affect circulation. It appears they need to curve the ring partially (viewing the base ring from the side). What do you think? I plan to purchase a cage with a smaller diameter if my current one finds a buyer. Does anyone else exercise while wearing their device? Do you have any tips for maintaining comfort and safety?
I cycle over 100 miles each week in my MM Jailbird. Yes, a snug base ring is essential to keep everything secured. The only problem I encounter is that occasionally the cage tends to rotate so the tip points slightly to the right. Getting the correct size for both the cage and the base ring are the most critical factors.
Does it reduce your ability to get an erection?
I can achieve an erection whenever my wife desires. So I would say yes, there is some limitation because I cannot just pop it up at will when I spot a attractive woman; however, whenever my wife wants one, she gets one—hard and ready.

But to clarify, I was asking about physical strain from exercise as well as any damage caused by the device itself. 100 miles a week... you're quite the athlete! Cool.
