I have one man already and he read this advert before I posted it

I have an arrangement already. It has run four years, it is good, and he read this advert before it went up and suggested two changes, one of which I took. I am saying so in the first paragraph because a woman who mentions it in week five has been dishonest by omission, and I have been on the receiving end of exactly that myself.

Forty one, Didsbury, fifteen years leading, and what I am describing sits inside a life that is already arranged.

What I have room for is a second, smaller and quite different. He has the weekday household. What I am short of is somebody for a standing Sunday, with duties of his own that do not overlap with his, and no expectation that the two of you become friends, though you would certainly meet.

The thing people get wrong is assuming this makes it casual. It does not. It makes it smaller and completely fixed, which in my experience is harder to do well than an arrangement with the whole of a man's week in it.

Nothing is for hire and no money moves in either direction. What I do not want is a man hoping in time to become the only one. That is a perfectly fair thing to want and it is not on offer here, and I would rather write it plainly than let somebody hope quietly for a year.
