I am not a good writer and I refuse to pretend otherwise

Every post on this board is better written than mine. I have read a lot of them. I left school at sixteen, I have worked with my hands for thirty five years, and I write the way I talk, which is short and without much decoration.

Fifty two, the Jersey side. Fifteen years in this. One arrangement that ran nine years with a woman who died in twenty twenty three. Nothing since, until now.

I am putting the plain writing at the top because I have noticed that men on this board seem to be judged partly on how well they put a paragraph together, and I am going to lose that competition every time. What I am good at is turning up, doing what I said, and not making a fuss. In nine years I was never late and I never once had to be asked twice.

What I want is the same thing again. A woman with a house and things that need doing and a way she wants them done. I will learn the way. I do not need it explained twice but I will need it explained once, properly.

I do not do anything with pain in it. I do not want anything to do with a computer beyond messages. And I am not looking for somebody to teach me to be more interesting, because at fifty two that ship has gone and I am at peace about it.
