Looking for a Mistress in Hamburg

Hamburg lets people in more slowly than Berlin and lets them go more slowly too. Interest looks a great deal like indifference for the first few weeks, which sends impatient men away and leaves the search to those who can sit still. Shift patterns around the port decide when anybody is free in the first place. What gets found in this city tends to be domestic rather than theatrical, and the men who wanted theatre usually work that out by the second conversation and go elsewhere.
