Rio starts warm and stays informal. A man looking here will be enjoyed as company for quite a while before anybody sets him any terms, and pushing early for structure reads as nerves rather than clarity. The zone question settles everything practical, since crossing the city is a real journey and nobody pretends otherwise. Whole stretches of the calendar are simply not when anything begins, and the search picks up afterwards with nobody apologising for the gap or explaining it.
